The Division of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics(PIDE) has establishing a stat-of -the -art Local Area Network(LAN) of approximately 200 nodes.The services provided to the users include high speed internet access,separate e-mail accounts for inter-office and external communication,access to central data bank,printing,scanning,PIDE Library's bibliographic database searching and video conferencing.
The ICT Division has recently provided the connectivity of the Pakistan Education and Research Network(PERN) and On-line lecturing and Net-meeting using IP-based Video Conferencing through Higher Education Commission(HEC).
MS Office,GAMS,SPSS,SATA,SHAZAM,TSP,Eviews,MS Project etc. are some of the mostly used software at PIDE. Other software may also be arranged for stude
