Media mogul and entrepreneur Oprah Winfrey is about to have her life splashed across the big screen. Filmmaker, Larry A. Thompson has exposed his plans to turn the tell-all controversial book by Kitty Kelley into a Oprah movie special.
"Oprah Winfrey's fascinating journey from rural Mississippi to the world stage is packed with simple truths and complicated personalities,” he explains. According to the book Oprah engaged in drug use and told lies about her poor upbringing.
So it comes as no surprise that Oprah who slammed the book as a “so-called biography” won’t be happy with the film. However Thomson insist that with so much interest surrounding the star he feels the time is right to start filming. But as Thompson says finding an actress to play the part will be a problem.
"Casting someone to play Oprah will be the real challenge. We are planning to audition both known and unknown actresses."
The movie is set to start filming next year (2011).
